Helping Others

Once a month we provide lunches for all. The proceeds support local charities. This is also another opportunity to reach out to people within our community.

Throughout the year we act as a collection point for food and toiletries that are passed on monthly to YMCA for homeless individuals and those in food poverty.
In the period leading up to Christmas a Community Christmas tree is provided in the Main Hall. Practical Gifts of warm clothing are donated underneath it and then also distributed to the homeless.

We also hold a Christmas Toy Gift Service where gifts are donated to the Kings Cross project in Widnes that supports families in poverty. This is becoming a more vital contribution since the charity has lost its Local Authority funding.

As part of Churches Together Lymm & District (CTLD), members of the Church family participate in door-to-door collections for Christian Aid and the National Childrens Home (NCH).Christian Aid Logo

At Easter a collection is made for the Methodist Homes Association (MHA) which has a network of care homes for elderly people.
“MHA exists to improve the quality of life for older people, inspired by Christian concern”.
